DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

As it is impossible for the Arts to exist without the financial support of it’s community,  Signature Dance Ensemble is in the process of forming a Development Committee to spearhead the funding of this organization. Aside from the generosity of it’s patrons, Signature is in desperate need of Corporate Sponsorships and a Capital Campaign to raise the funds necessary to bring quality dance performance and educational outreach to Rocky Mount and the surrounding areas.  While the committee is in it’s formative stages, we encourage you to look over and consider the available options as donors. Signature is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.  All donations are tax deductible.

Cash
Cash is often the most convenient way of giving. Cash gifts are fully deductible for federal income tax purposes.

Pledges
Pledges enable a donor to plan a personal giving program that is both convenient and tax wise. A pledge may enable a donor to consider a more significant gift than would have been otherwise possible.

Securities
Securities may be made as outright gifts or as a payment on a pledge. Stock certificates may be reassigned directly to Signature or may be transferred through the donor’s broker. The mean market value on the date of transfer will determine the value of the gift for tax purposes.

Planned Gifts
In certain instances, it may be preferable from an estate, financial or tax-planning perspective to consider long-term planned giving as the best way to make a gift. This can be accomplished through various gift instruments such as a charitable remainder trust, gift annuities, charitable lead trusts and bequests.

SIGNATURE ASSOCIATES

The Signature Associates are a group of Eastern Carolina business professionals who donate their time and expertise to the Ensemble in an effort to cultivate corporate support. They are the representatives of Signature Dance in the business community who are charged with the task of relaying the message that Signature is a vital tool in promoting economic development and growth in our community. The goal of the Associates is to create a climate in which business and cultural arts can come together and mutually benefit each other.

The primary objectives of the Signature Dance Associates are:

• To develop and cultivate financial support from businesses.

• To educate local businesses about the services that Signature provides to the community

• To promote Signature Dance Ensemble by providing educational and entertaining events aimed at increasing involvement from community members

Requirements and Standards:

• Commitment to fulfilling the outlined responsibilities

• Active participation in Associates meetings and Signature activities

• Attendance to Associate meetings

• Attendance at Signature performances through ticket purchase

THE SIGNATURE ENTOURAGE

Volunteers are an intricate part of any Arts organization and can make all the difference in it’s quality of life. Building a strong support system for the company is a priority. Mutual respect and admiration for the talents given by all concerned is the best way to insure success and enjoyment in the tasks at hand.

For these reasons, we would like to organize THE SIGNATURE ENTOURAGE as the backbone of our endeavor. There is no limit to the assistance needed by one and all and it is our mission to build an extended family of support.
